The role supports certification compliance, supply chain documentation, and traceability reporting by systematically collecting, validating, and sharing data, in line with Touton Uganda Ltdâs sustainability and traceability standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Traceability Data Collection & Management - Regularly visit hulling stations to document purchases from suppliers and TUL agents using official TUL data collection forms.
- Design, manage, clean, and update Excel databases with traceability data from all sources.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data entry, verification, and validation of traceability documents (both soft and hard copies).
- Ensure timely sharing of traceability data with the Traceability Officer â Kampala.
2. Certification & Compliance - Support certification audits (RA, Organic, PACT) by ensuring accurate data records and documentation.
- Participate in internal and external audits at the branch level.
- Ensure data confidentiality, security, and regular backups to minimize data loss.
- Ensure conformity with all certification requirements and traceability standards.
3. Reporting - Submit weekly traceability reports to the Traceability Officer â Kampala.
- Share ad-hoc reports during audits or upon request.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination - Liaise closely with suppliers, agents, and branch teams to ensure accurate flow of traceability information.
- Participate in relevant trainings and meetings to ensure compliance and alignment with company objectives.
- Support grievance resolution processes related to traceability data inaccuracies.
View less Preferred experience Minimum Qualifications & Requirements - Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certificate in Computer Applications (Advanced Excel mandatory).
- At least 1-year experience in data entry, data management, or traceability systems (preferably in agriculture or commodity trading sector)
Other Essential Requirements - High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Strong analytical, data management, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling data.
- Willing to work extra hours and travel frequently to rural areas.
- Above 21 years of age.
- Motorcycle riding license is an added advantage.
- Certificate in Computer Applications (Advanced Excel mandatory).
- At least 1-year experience in data entry, data management, or traceability systems
