Working Experience
Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Safety Inspector for performing the following duties:-
- Enforcing the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2006;
- Examining and certifying plants and equipment;
- Carrying out training and publicity programmes on occupational safety and health;
- Reviewing environmental and social impact assessments, environmental audits, risk assessment reports;
- Participating in research on occupational safety and health;
- Enforcing safety and health regulations;
- Appearing in Courts of law as expert witness when need arises;
- Carrying out general and specialized inspections of installations;
- Rendering advice to stakeholders on related matters;
- Investigating accidents;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
