The consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Key tasks include: - Conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress.
- Reviewing design documents and providing technical recommendations.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental safeguards.
- Coordinating with contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Preparing regular progress reports and documentation for the World Bank and French Development Agency.
The successful consultant must demonstrate experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in urban road development, and possess relevant certifications. This role is critical to the successful implementation of the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area – Urban Development Program (GKMA-UDP), aimed at improving transportation infrastructure and fostering economic growth in the region.
