Minimum QualificationApplicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelorâs Degree in Geology; or Mining; or Natural Resource Management; or Mining Engineering; or Geotechnical Engineering; or Mine Survey; or Chemical Engineering; or Mineral Processing; or Metallurgy; or Mineral Geoscience; or Environmental Science from a recognized University/Institution.Working ExperienceDuties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Inspector â Mineral Certification for performing the following duties:-
- Performing system level evaluations and monitoring of RCM implementation elements including mine site inspections and or audits and monitoring of national chain of custody systems, export procedures and data management;
- Conducting research and developing projects for sustainable mining of designated minerals;
- Sensitising mine site owners and miners on matters relating to mineral tracking and certification processes;
- Drafting workplans, budgets and performance reports for mineral certification;
- Reviewing and evaluating applications for licenses or permits relating to certification of designated minerals;
- Training and promoting health and safety mining practices, trenchancy and general legal requirements in regard to designated minerals.
