The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of commercial buildings in the area. This is a full-time position (NOTE : we hire candidates for this partner since 2016 with excellent track record , ) Key Responsibilities: - - Conduct site visits and surveys to assess project feasibility and identify any potential challenges
- - Develop detailed designs and plans for commercial buildings, including structural, electrical, and plumbing systems
- - Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project plans are executed accurately and efficiently
- - Manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- - Monitor and inspect construction progress to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- - Conduct quality control checks to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications
- - Prepare and submit progress reports to clients and stakeholders
- - Collaborate with local government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- - Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and construction workers
- - Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in building materials and techniques
- - Ensure all projects are completed in accordance with company standards and procedures
Qualifications: - - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- - Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial building construction and design
- - Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction industry standards
- - Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
- - Strong project management and organizational skills
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- - Willingness to work on-site and in varying weather conditions
- - Valid professional engineering license in Uganda
