ACCOUNTING OFFICER Additional Job Description: The Accounting Officer at Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key responsibilities include: - Managing the procurement process, including bid evaluations and contract awards.
- Ensuring adherence to the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDA) Act and other regulatory frameworks.
- Supervising the preparation and submission of financial reports to stakeholders.
- Coordinating with the Procurement and Disposal Unit to facilitate transparent and competitive bidding processes.
- Verifying and approving payments related to procurement activities.
- Maintaining liaison with external auditors and addressing financial discrepancies.
