On behalf of Our client in the Manufacturing sector, we are looking for a competent and experienced Warehouse Assistant to be based in Kampala. Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda. Job Summary: The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching raw materials and finished goods. This role ensures that production lines are adequately supplied and inventory is accurately maintained, contributing to the smooth running of manufacturing processes. Main Duties and Responsibilities - Receive incoming raw materials, components, and supplies, and verify against delivery notes or purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations in accordance with inventory control systems and safety protocols.
- Prepare and stage materials for production orders according to schedule.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch finished products for customer or internal orders.
- Maintain accurate stock records, update inventory systems, and assist in cycle counts or stocktakes.
- Ensure all materials are correctly labelled and stored to avoid contamination or damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist in identifying and reporting damaged or expired stock.
- Follow all company policies regarding health, safety, and hygiene
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills - Diploma or equivalent in relevant field.
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software is a plus.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift/move heavy items.
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
