Key Responsibilities - Operate Silo Plant Systems: Efficiently run grain handling and transfer equipment to ensure continuous and safe operations. Experience in PLC-controlled systems is an added advantage.
- Monitor Silo Performance: Ensure overall efficiency, smooth workflow, and effective silo operations.
- Quality Assurance:
- Maintain accurate wheat segregation.
- Regularly monitor grain quality, including pests, moisture, and temperature levels.
- Apply aeration promptly and uphold FIFO practices at all times.
- Supervision: Oversee Grain Discharge Supervisors to ensure timely and accurate offloading activities.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine maintenance, identify equipment faults, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Health, Safety & Hygiene: Maintain a clean, safe workspace in line with GMP, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate grain inventory records and document stock movements.
Professional Qualifications and Expertise - Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong engineering knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in silo plant operations considered an added advantage.
