- Responsible for the Engineering Schedule development, maintenance, and coordinating the interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, and the overall Integration Schedule.
Responsibilities: - Execute all planning and management aspects of the project.
- Develop and maintain the engineering work schedule in Primavera P6/MS Project, covering FEED, detailed engineering, interdisciplinary reviews, design approvals, and deliverable issuance.
- Incorporate inputs from Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure comprehensive plans.
- Identify the critical path, float, and milestone tracking in alignment with project objectives
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules; conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Issue weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports for internal management, JV partners, and regulators
- Provide input to the monthly Project Review Meetings
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to assess potential schedule delays.
- Provide mitigation strategies and scenario planning to support project decision-making.
- Assist in evaluating Extension of Time (EOT) claims from contractors by validating schedule impacts.
- Coordinate with project planning and cost control teams to ensure alignment with the overall Master Control Schedule.
- Responsible for the Project Execution Plan development and all related Project Controls Strategies & Procedures under the requirements.
- Support internal and partners' project plan reviews and approvals processes.
- Provide necessary scheduling information to establish the cost estimate and manage costs effectively.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Superior.
Requirements - Bachelorâs degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related.
- At least 4 years of similar working experience in project planning or control within Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Planning and control working experience is a prerequisite.
Knowledge - Deep understanding of oil & gas project lifecycles (FEED, EPC, commissioning)
- Knowledge of oil & gas facilities related design, fabrication, installation, hook-up, and commissioning support.
- Good knowledge of the relevant planning control Software (MS Project, Oracle Primavera P6, MS Excel, Power BI)
- Strong analytical and risk-based decision-making skills
- Understanding of Ugandan regulatory frameworks and permitting processes
