The key purpose of this job is to operate, maintain, repair and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality. Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Interpret and implement production plan for shift
- Operate manual and automatic machines on line as per standards
- Monitor production processes on shift and correct any negative trends
- Ensure process quality and productivity
- Complete associated tracking and monitoring: complete operator workstation administration and take action as required.
- Complete Team room administration as required
- Contribute to self-development
- Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
- Use QFRâs (As per triggers)
- Complete 5 WHYâs (As per triggers) with relevant team members
- Contribute towards AB reports as required
- Clean, inspect, tag and lubricate
- Perform quick fixes, adjust (fine-tune) machine settings and do changeovers
- Repair basic machine components
- Discard and replace basic machine components
- Carryout complex maintenance tasks, machine set-ups and operator coaching.
- Support the overall Packaging team initiatives and arrangements
- Apply VPO standards.
- Any other duties assigned by the team Leader
Minimum Requirements: - Min. National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 2 years working experience in a FMCG industry.
- Good leadership potential
- Good knowledge of production processes and technologies
- Familiarity with maintenance systems e.g. COSWIN
- Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance practices
- Good troubleshooting, problem solving and leadership abilities.
