The ideal candidate has 5+ years of practical experience, a strong sales background (local & export), and a proven track record of implementing innovative, sustainable farming practices. This is a field-based role that demands commitment, adaptability, and strong leadership in rural environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Crop Management â Oversee full crop cycle from planning to harvest â Implement crop rotation and soil health strategies â Monitor crop health and lead pest/disease control
Sales & Marketing â Drive sales for local and export markets â Build and manage buyer and distributor relationships â Track market trends and adapt production accordingly
Innovation & Sustainability â Introduce modern farming tech and techniques â Test new varieties and methods â Uphold safety and environmental standards
Team Leadership â Train and supervise farm staff and junior agronomists â Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and finance teams â Manage schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Reporting & Compliance â Maintain detailed records of farm and sales performance â Present regular reports to management â Ensure compliance with agricultural and quality regulations
QUALIFICATIONS: â Bachelor's or Masterâs in Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field â Minimum 5 years experience with vegetables (especially tomatoes, green pepper, onions, cabbage, watermelon) â Sales & marketing experience (local + export) â Strong leadership, innovation mindset, and rural adaptability â Familiar with sustainable practices and modern agri-tech â Data-driven, analytical, and computer literate â Fluent in English; local languages are a plus
Compensation: Contract-based with performance-linked pay tied to sales volume. Details will be discussed during interviews.
