The role involves planning, coordinating, and managing business growth and development of savings at the branch by supervising and monitoring staff performance in line with the strategic plan. Reports To: Regional Manager Key Duties and Responsibilities Managing Branch Staff - Review staff performance and recommend measures to improve performance to the Regional Manager.
- Ensure the branch has sufficient staffing and plan staff leave to maintain efficient operations.
- Boost staff morale through counselling, creating a good work environment, and monitoring discipline.
- Coach and mentor staff to achieve required performance levels.
Customer Service - Ensure customer acquisition and service delivery are anchored on a consistently superior customer experience.
- Plan and implement operational service excellence strategies that support customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and respond to customer concerns using standard customer care survey tools.
- Plan and monitor loan disbursement processes for quick service delivery and efficiency.
- Develop and supervise strategies to grow savings products and maintain quality loan portfolios.
Business Growth and Portfolio Management - Plan and monitor loan portfolio growth and outreach.
- Develop and monitor growth of the savings portfolio.
- Review performance of all products and formulate improvement strategies.
- Solicit business and attend to key company customers to grow the business.
Branch Administration - Ensure security of branch premises and equipment.
- Maintain branch premises and assets through timely repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain an asset register.
- Identify fixed asset needs and submit requisitions to the Senior Administrative Officer.
Budgeting and Financial Control - Prepare the branch budget.
- Approve branch expenses within limits and review expense reports.
- Monitor budget performance and explain variances to the Finance and Administrative Manager.
- Prepare annual work plans reviewed semi-annually with the Regional Manager.
Liquidity Management - Plan and monitor daily cash requirements of the branch.
- Maintain branch cash insurance limits.
Compliance and Audit - Review branch transactions daily to ensure compliance with operating guidelines.
- Train staff on policies and procedures.
- Monitor staff adherence to FINCA policies and procedures.
- Advise management on policy and procedure improvements.
- Liaise with internal audit to facilitate audits and implement recommendations.
Branch Relationships and Reporting - Represent the company in public events to raise its profile in the community.
- Maintain relationships with other financial institutions.
- Review and submit daily, weekly, and monthly branch reports.

Qualifications and Experience - Bachelorâs Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or another business-related course.
- 4 years of work experience in a recognized Microfinance Deposit Taking Institution or Commercial Bank.
- At least 1 year of experience at manager level or in an acceptable supervisory role such as Credit Supervisor or Accountant.
