Rider / Tuk Tuk Delivery Person (Class A Permit) job at Ramex Petroleum

Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently deliver petroleum-related products, lubricants, LPG accessories, documents, and customer orders using a company tuk tuk or motorcycle while providing excellent customer service and maintaining company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders accurately and on time within assigned routes.
• Load, transport, and unload products safely without damage.
• Verify delivery notes, invoices, and customer acknowledgements upon delivery.
• Collect payments where required and account for all cash received.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking tyres, brakes, lights, fuel, and engine condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the assigned tuk tuk or motorcycle.
• Report accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns, or delivery challenges promptly.
• Follow company safety procedures and Uganda traffic regulations at all times.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize fuel consumption and delivery time.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and fuel usage reports.
• Ensure the security of company products, cash, and vehicle while on duty.
• Support warehouse and logistics operations when not on delivery assignments.

Qualifications

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent.
• Valid Ugandan Class A Driving Permit (motorcycle/tuk tuk).
• At least 1–2 years of experience riding a motorcycle or tuk tuk for commercial deliveries.
• Good knowledge of Kampala and surrounding road networks.
• Ability to read delivery notes and use a smartphone or GPS for navigation.
• Clean driving record with good road safety practices.
