The engineers will assist Chinese project staff in coordinating construction progress, ensuring quality and safety, and facilitating communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Assist Chinese technical staff in managing project construction, quality control, and site safety.
- Coordinate with local government departments, NITA-U, and subcontractors to resolve project-related issues.
- Support administrative tasks including visa processing, document handling, and safety management.
- Contribute to project documentation, reporting, and on-site coordination.
- Use tools such as Google Maps, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software to support daily tasks.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication, including translating (for those who speak Chinese).
- Participate in on-the-job training provided by Chinese staff and actively engage in learning telecom-related processes.
Requirements - Bachelorâs Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Telecom, or related field).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Google Maps, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general office software.
- Candidates must be able to speak Chinese (basic proficiency acceptable).
- Work experience in the telecommunications field is highly preferred.
- Must own a laptop and smartphone for daily work functions.
- Willingness to travel across Uganda for field assignments.
- Strong interest in telecom development and ability to work in multicultural teams.
