As part of the curriculum, students are required to develop strong foundations in Frontend Development, enabling them to build user-friendly, interactive, and responsive web applications. To deliver this module effectively, WITI seeks to hire a qualified and experienced Frontend Development Instructor to train, mentor, and evaluate diploma students. Objective of the Assignment The main objective is to provide high-quality teaching and learning in Frontend Development, ensuring students acquire the technical competencies, practical experience, and problem-solving skills needed for the digital economy. Scope of Work The instructor will be responsible for: ⢠Designing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Frontend Development (covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as ReactJS). ⢠Preparing course outlines, lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments in line with the Diploma in Computer Science curriculum. ⢠Guiding students in project-based learning and supervising related assignments. ⢠Providing mentorship and career guidance in frontend and web development. ⢠Evaluating and grading students fairly based on academic performance and project output. ⢠Ensuring the integration of best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, and industry trends. ⢠Participating in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and institutional activities as required.
Expected Deliverables ⢠Course work plans and teaching schedules. ⢠Comprehensive lecture notes, tutorials, and coding exercises. ⢠Mid-semester and end-of-semester examinations with marking guides. ⢠Project supervision reports. ⢠A final report summarizing teaching outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
Duration of Assignment The teaching assignment will run for one academic semester (approximately 4 months), with the possibility of renewal based on performance and institutional needs.
Qualifications and Experience ⢠Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (master's degree is an added advantage). ⢠Proven expertise in Frontend Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, or similar frameworks). ⢠Minimum of 2 years of teaching or professional experience in software/web development. ⢠Strong communication, facilitation, and mentorship skills. ⢠Experience in project-based learning and supervising student projects is desirable.
