Job Purpose: The Water Engineer (Plumber) will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This role is essential in ensuring safe and efficient water supply and drainage systems while adhering to all relevant regulations and codes. Responsibilities: - Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Conduct assessments and inspections to identify plumbing issues and recommend solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for plumbing systems.
- Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and clients to coordinate plumbing installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Stay informed about new plumbing technologies and industry best practices.
Candidate Specifications: Educational Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in plumbing or a related field is preferred.
- Plumbing certification or license is required.
Work Experience: - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in plumbing or water engineering.
- Experience in commercial and residential plumbing projects is an advantage.
Critical Skills Required: - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in plumbing tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
