Recruitment is contingent upon confirmation of funding by UNOCHA's Uganda Humanitarian Fund. Key Responsibilities - Lead planning and implementation of WASH activities including construction of dome-shaped PSN latrines, tippy taps, hygiene supply distribution, and hygiene promotion
- Coordinate household sanitation assessments and prioritise vulnerable households including persons with disabilities, older persons, and other people with specific needs
- Train, guide, and support Community Hygiene Promoters (CHPs) to conduct household visits, campaigns, and sanitation awareness
- Supervise three Project Assistants â WASH and coordinate contractors, artisans, and community structures
- Represent YSAT in settlement-level WASH coordination meetings with OPM, District Water and Health Offices, UNHCR, and WASH actors
- Monitor WASH activities and prepare high-quality monthly and quarterly programme reports
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Health, Public Health, Water and Sanitation, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience implementing WASH programmes in humanitarian, refugee, or displacement settings
- Demonstrated experience supervising or monitoring construction of dome-shaped/PSN latrines, tippy taps, or similar WASH infrastructure
- Experience supervising field teams, CHPs, contractors, artisans, and community structures
- Valid motorcycle riding permit is mandatory; prior experience in Uganda refugee settlements is highly desirable
