This position manages the goods receiving and issuance process, storage management, and all associated documentation to ensure accurate system and physical stock positions at all times. Duties and Responsibilities: A. Key Strategic Responsibilities: - Periodic review and updating of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the store to ensure foolproof inventory controls balanced with excellent customer experience.
- Implementation of approved store SOPs, inventory management policy, and customer experience guidelines.
- Ensuring the safe custody of and accountability for all inventory items at the Exsan House store.
- Daily allocation of duties and resources to the stores team to fulfill customer orders.
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping (5S) and ensuring a safe working environment.
B. Operational Responsibilities: - Overseeing all stock movements into and out of the Exsan House store, ensuring completeness and accuracy of goods received as per SOP and CEUL policy.
- Ensuring physical goods received are logged into the system within 2 hours of physical receipt and maintaining proper records.
- Weekly replenishment of solar consumable items into all branches.
- Weekly determination of solar consumable deficits and creation of purchase requisitions to fulfill those deficits.
- Supervising the order fulfillment process to ensure zero delays in servicing released orders.
- Conducting physical verification of customer orders before dispatch to ensure accurate issuance from the store.
- Performing physical inspection of goods received to ensure any damages or anomalies are recorded and escalated.
- Driving zero damages in the warehouse by promoting correct handling procedures and conducting root cause analysis for all damages as per company policy and SOP.
- Ensuring cycle counts are performed daily to maintain zero discrepancies. In case of any variance, establish root cause, corrective, and preventive action. Proper filing of cycle count and stock take records must also be maintained.
- Monitoring transfer orders to ensure zero losses on goods in transit.
- Promoting good warehousing practices by ensuring everything is in its designated place and no stock is lying in the gangways.
- Promoting safety by ensuring all persons entering the warehouse have the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as per company policy and driving safety-conscious behavior among team members.
- Daily opening and closing of the Exsan House store and controlling access into the store.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Education: - Bachelorâs degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Certification in Warehouse Management or Inventory Control is highly desirable.
Experience: - A minimum of 3â5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or stores supervision.
- Proven experience in managing high-volume stock movements and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Core Competencies & Skills: - Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision, Oracle) for stock management and reporting.
- Inventory Control: Deep knowledge of cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to drive â5Sâ or lean warehousing practices.
- Leadership: Proven ability to supervise a team, allocate daily duties, and maintain high safety/performance standards.
- Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and PPE enforcement.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in physical and system-based stock verification.
