We are located at the heart of Kampala; Katwe Road WAITRESS/WAITER Job Purpose To provide friendly, efficient and professional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience and high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Duties and Responsibilities The Waitress/Waiter will: - Welcome guests and provide friendly and courteous service.
- Present menus and explain available food and beverage options when required.
- Take customer orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and service.
- Respond politely to customer questions and requests.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and refer complex issues to the supervisor.
- Set, clear and clean tables before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant and service areas.
- Ensure cutlery, glasses, plates and other service items are clean and properly arranged.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders.
- Present bills to customers and handle payments in accordance with motel procedures, where assigned.
- Maintain awareness of menu items, prices and daily specials.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with stock monitoring and report shortages or damaged items.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene.
- Support other restaurant activities during busy periods.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or motel management.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience - A minimum of a secondary school education is preferred.
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant, hotel or motel is an advantage.
- Certificate in Hotel Management, Catering or Hospitality is an added advantage.
