You will have theopportunity to join Dietsmann Trainers team at UPIK, supporting TotalEnergiesExploration and Production company in Uganda for the Tilenga project.
As a Trainer, youwill be responsible to provide, execute trade training program in your fiedof competencies, giving lectures and practical training to the trainees. Design,develop, deliver and revise technical and safety trainings modules and courses.
The position are open for Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical and Operation Training
Activities :
HSE:
? Participate in theHealth, Safety and Environment program to achieve COMPANY’ targeted standards andobjectives
? Assists in safetytraining and ensure that the technicians / trainees adhere to HSE policies and procedures byregularly using its own HSE experience and Project REX in line with COMPANY & CONTRACTORpolicies.
? Share previoussite HSE experience
? Prepare andcommunicate on specific HSE modules to be developed in each of the courses (theoretical andpractical).
? Updatestechnicians / trainees about latest HSE Rules & Regulations.
? Make the HSEphilosophy matters as part of their Training Courses developing specific examples related toMechanical Maintenance Activities including those in the Mechanical workshop
? Be aware andrespectful of Cyber security COMPANY protocols if using COMPANY PCs / Industrial System /connected to COMPANY network
Organization and management skills:
? Execute the trade training program at UPIK, giving lectures and practicaltraining to the trainers
? Assist in thetraining and development of UPIK staff for the Mechanical Maintenance related topics
? Liaise withCOMPANY on program requirements
? Provide coachingto Mechanical team Personnel in the topics covered by technical training
? Ensure trainingprogram meets all Parties expectation
? Give practicalexamples and experiences to Personnel during classes at UPIK and on Site forall tradetopics in your field of competencies
? Earlyidentification of high potential Personnel or Personnel that may not completeor attain the minimum level ofthe Technical Training Program among the Mechanical Maintenance team.
? Coordinates thetraining process of the Mechanical section personnel to ensure a highly competentmaintenance team for the plant.
? Designs, develops,delivers and revises technical and safety training modules and courses that provide for boththeoretical and on-the-job and safety training. Manages course material (print out,distribution...)
? Guide the traineehow to determine faults skilfully and apply appropriate method of repair and maintenance
? Provides analysisand determines training needs and gaps for individuals and groups, and makesrecommendations for solutions to bridge the gaps, eventually providingdedicated class to single or sub-groupof trainees.
? Assesses trainees’competency requirements, certifies personnel as per level of competency, Identify staff training needs, develop training plan and ensure implementation
? Carryoutcompetency assessment and verification, monitor and follow up progress andmaintain accurate record oftheir progress, attendance and soft skills demonstration (class behaviour, communication, teamwork, adaptability, punctuality…)
? Assists indevelopment of standard operating procedures, policy and practice regardtraining & development.
? Provide feedbackto training section.
? Provide trainingfor the “Train the Trainer” program at UPIK
? Assists withmonitoring and controlling training budgets whenever needed
? Attendcoordination meeting and briefing for the betterment of the training andassessment activities
Candidate profile
The holder of this position must have the following qualifications:
? Higher Diploma (HND), or equivalent,
? Minimum 5 years as Discipline Supervisor in the Petrochemical / Oil & Gas industry or Energy sector
? Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Trainer / Assessor with emphasis on On-Job-Training (OJT) inclusive of Competence Assessment performance / equivalent to confirmed Assessor
? Knowledgeable in workplace learning and or competence-based training and assessment would be a distinct advantage.
? Certificate of Assessor and Verifier (OPITO, SQA or equivalent)
? Trade test Certificate in one of the technical disciplines.
? Excellentcommunication, both written and oral, and presentation skills.
? Diplomatic andpositive attitude and naturally adapting its speech to its interlocutorpersonality
? Ability to handlemultiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with stated deadlines.
? A natural,flexible authority is essential.
? Capacity toexplain complex theory on a simple by using analogia.
? Natural abilityand willing to teach
? Aptitude to shareacquired know how, methodology and pedagogy with other Trainers
? Professionalism inappearance and attitude is a must.
? Self-motivatedwith strong organizational and time management skills.
? Strong PC skillsto include proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
