Responsibilities or duties - Ensure the vehicle is good mechanical condition at all times
- Ensure products are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Ensure safe driving practice is maintained.
- Drive loaded and unloaded truck to and from offloading point.
- Verify loaded products during offloading
- Chart out the best route possible in order to save time.
- Keep proper maintenance of the vehicle and report service in time.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the trucks.
- Ensure all deliveries have been assigned and delivered to correct recipient.
- Be able to fix minor breakdown without professional help.
- Maintain vehicle tools and equipment.
- Responsible for safe parking and in legal areas.
- Report all accident occurrence in time within 3 hours.
- Notify the company of any traffic offence immediately while operating the company vehicle.
- Perform any other task as per management request.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills) - A minimum of O level certificate in a relevant discipline/ valid driving permit.
- Driving Class CE
- A defensive training certification is a must
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Experience needed - A minimum of 3+ yearsâ experience in Trailer driving.
