Company Overview:

Our client is a leading player in Uganda’s automotive and mobility sector, with a strong presence in the motorcycle market. The organization specializes in the distribution and retail of motorcycles, genuine spare parts, after-sales services, and local motorcycle assembly, supported by a growing branch and distribution network across Uganda.

Position Summary:

The Trade Marketer – Channel Engagement will own engagement with the trade channel, including boda chairmen, mechanics, and dealers, and will be responsible for developing schemes, incentives, and loyalty programs that drive sales growth. The role will also focus on developing B2B opportunities for motorcycle sales and increasing sales of oil, tyre, battery, spare parts and motorcycles.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build and manage relationships with boda chairmen, mechanics, and dealers across the network.
• Devise and run incentive schemes and loyalty programs that grow channel sales.
• Execute dealer activations, channel promotions, and engagement campaigns.
• Find and create B2B clients who want motorcycles for their companies.
• Drive channel engagement initiatives to increase sales of oil, tyre, battery, spare parts and motorcycles.
• Analyse channel and scheme performance and refine mechanics to improve ROI.
• Identify new channel and market opportunities and develop them into measurable sales opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3–6 years of experience in trade / channel marketing, ideally within FMCG, telecom, or automotive with a distribution channel.
• Strong experience in scheme design, dealer relationships, and loyalty-program mechanics.
• Proven ability to develop B2B clients who want motorcycles for their companies and generate new business opportunities.
• Strong commercial and relationship-management skills, with a clear focus on sales growth.
• Comfortable working in the field and engaging directly with dealers, mechanics, boda chairmen, and business customers.
