KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS - Conduct regular PPM of electro-mechanical equipment/plant
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, providing technical support to resolve issues quickly and minimize downtime.
- Identify and verify spare parts and materials needed for maintenance and repair activities.
- Execute assigned tasks as per job cards provided, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Complete job cards upon finishing tasks and ensure all details are accurately recorded.
- Assist in raising store issue vouchers for required spares/materials, collect and distribute spares/materials from the store to the relevant work sites.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electro-mechanical equipment/plants
- Perform basic fabrication and machining of spare parts and components as required for maintenance and repair tasks
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and plant operators to achieve maintenance goals
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations promoting a safe working environment
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
THE PERSON In order to be considered for this position, the applicant must have worked for at least one (01) year and should possess the following: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION/TRAINING - Qualifications
- Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Technical Institute.
- Computer skills in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project and internet applications
- Experience and Age
- At least one (1) year relevant working experience
- Age Limit: Below 30 years of age
SKILSS AND COMPETENCES - Possesses a high level of initiative, commitment to work, ability to meet tight deadlines, excellent communication and inter personal skills
- Be good player, highly motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision
- Be able to work independently, produce results and meet set targets
- Be able to demonstrate high levels of customer care
- Be willing to work in any designated operational Area in Uganda
- Should not have any criminal record
