Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in Kampala. In this full-time role, you will work independently under the guidance of the Managing Director, contributing to the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.

Position Details
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: On-site, Kampala
Reporting Structure: Reports to Managing Director

Key Responsibilities
• Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems or verify repairs.
• Recommend and perform preventive maintenance procedures, including cleaning and changing filters.
• Install or repair self-contained ground source heat pumps and hybrid ground or air source heat pumps.
• Install auxiliary components to heating or cooling equipment, such as valves, ducts, and blowers.

Essential Qualifications
• Education: Post-secondary Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience: 5-7 years in HVAC installation and repair.
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting, installation, repair, and equipment maintenance capabilities.
• Knowledge Areas: Proficiency in mechanical systems, engineering and technology, and public safety and security.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Runyankole.

Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following additional skills and experience are advantageous:
• Critical Thinking
• Monitoring
• Knowledge of office suite software.
