The organisation is composed of the Council as its governing body, Committees of Council, a Secretariat for its day-to-day operations with semi-autonomous Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARIâs) under its policy guidance. The Director General invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following positions at PARIs and NARO Secretariat. Responsibilities or duties, - Fish Farm Operations: Assist in the day-to-day management of fish farms, including pond preparation, stocking, feeding, and harvesting.
- Water Quality Monitoring: Monitor and maintain water quality parameters (dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, ammonia) in fish ponds and tanks.
- Hatchery Operations: Assist in hatchery activities including broodstock management, spawning, larval rearing, and fingerling production.
- Feed Management: Prepare and distribute fish feed according to feeding schedules.
- Disease Monitoring: Monitor fish health and report any signs of disease or stress.
- Data Recording: Maintain accurate production records (stocking densities, feed conversion rates, mortality, harvest weights).
- Maintenance: Maintain fish farm infrastructure, equipment, and nets.
