The organisation is composed of the Council as its governing body, Committees of Council, a Secretariat for its day-to-day operations with semi-autonomous Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARIâs) under its policy guidance. The Director General invites suitably qualified Ugandans to apply for the following positions at PARIs and NARO Secretariat. Responsibilities - Assist Breeding Programs: Support animal breeding activities including artificial insemination, estrus detection, and mating management.
- Data Collection: Collect and record animal performance data (growth, milk production, reproductive performance).
- Animal Identification: Maintain animal identification and pedigree records.
- Sample Collection: Collect biological samples (blood, milk, tissue) for genetic and reproductive analysis.
- Maintain Breeding Records: Maintain accurate breeding and calving records.
- Support Research: Assist researchers in conducting animal breeding and genetics experiments.
