JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose
A Solar and General Electrical Technician, will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar panel systems and general electrical systems. The technician should have excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, sizing and repair solar systems, including rooftop and ground-mounted systems
• Install, maintain, and repair general electrical systems, including residential, commercial, and industrial electrical
systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including fault finding and diagnosis
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting solar panels and electrical systems
• Provide technical support and training to customers
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of solar and electrical systems
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field
• Maintain accurate records of system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades

Qualifications
• Certificate or diploma in Electrical engineering or a related field
1+ years of experience in solar panel installation and maintenance, and general electrical work
• Valid driving/riding licence
• Valid ERA permit class Z, C or D

Skills
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable energy systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, and work in cramped spaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Level of Education: Associate Degree
