1. Role Purpose The Team Lead is the day-to-day head of operations for Adroit Solutions Ltd and is accountable for turning the MDâs direction and the company's strategy into coordinated departmental execution. The role integrates Sales, Delivery, Finance, and HR & Administration so that growth, cash, client delivery, people development, and operational discipline move together rather than in silos. Success in the role means Adroit runs on an evidence-based management rhythm: decisions are timely, dashboards are accurate, risks are surfaced early, teams are coached, and the MD receives concise, decision-ready reports. 2. Scope of Authority Lead and coordinate the work of the four core department heads: Finance Lead, HR & Admin Lead, Delivery Lead, and Sales Lead. Approve routine cross-functional actions such as prioritisation, resourcing adjustments, internal escalation responses, meeting cadence, and operational recovery plans. Recommend to the MD major staffing changes, promotions, salary actions, discounts, budget reallocations, client concessions, policy changes, and major corrective actions. Escalate immediately to the MD any material client, legal, cash, compliance, security, or reputational risk. 3. Key Result Areas and Detailed Responsibilities 3.1 Strategy execution and management rhythm Break the annual business plan into departmental workplans, monthly priorities, and measurable KPIs. Chair the weekly leadership huddle and the monthly management review and ensure every meeting ends with decisions, owners, deadlines, and follow-up. Maintain a single cross-functional action tracker covering revenue, delivery, cash, people, risks, and improvement work. Drive disciplined use of dashboards so management decisions are based on facts, not assumptions. 3.2 Revenue, pipeline, and commercial leadership Review the sales pipeline weekly with the Sales Lead, challenge stage quality, unblock proposals, and accelerate strategic opportunities. Ensure there is a practical link between sales promises, delivery capacity, pricing discipline, and cash collection plans. Review discounts, margins, implementation effort estimates, and commercial risks before material commitments are made. Support key bids, strategic client pursuits, and final negotiations where executive presence is required. 3.3 Delivery performance and client outcomes Review project health weekly with the Delivery Lead and Project Administration function, focusing on milestones, scope control, profitability, utilisation, documentation quality, and client escalations. Ensure project recovery plans are in place for every red or amber project, with named owners and daily/weekly checkpoints until stabilised. Hold the Delivery Lead accountable for implementation quality, SOP compliance, UAT discipline, go-live readiness, and post-implementation review. Step into critical client meetings where project confidence, scope, or commercial value is at risk. 3.4 Financial control and business sustainability Review cash position, receivables, invoice timeliness, and payment priorities with the Finance Lead every week. Ensure monthly management accounts, project margin analysis, budget-versus-actual reporting, and cash forecasts reach the MD on time and are action-oriented. Drive a collections culture by making overdue receivables a standing management item and assigning executive follow-up where necessary. Challenge projects or deals that erode margin, create uncontrolled scope, or delay cash conversion. 3.5 People leadership and culture Lead the department heads as a management team: clarify standards, coach performance, address underperformance early, and model Adroitâs values in daily conduct. Ensure one-to-one meetings, monthly scorecards, quarterly reviews, probation reviews, and development actions happen on time across departments. Work with HR & Admin to prioritise hiring, onboarding, certification plans, succession coverage, and staff welfare interventions. Promote a culture of humility, accountability, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement. 3.6 Process discipline, risk, and governance Escalate immediately to the MD any material client, legal, cash, compliance, security, or reputational risk. Enforce management adherence to approved SOPs across Sales, Delivery, Finance, and HR/Admin. Maintain a live risk and escalation register and monitor closure of priority actions within agreed SLAs. Ensure key records, approvals, audit trails, and meeting minutes exist for major operational and commercial decisions. Support the MD in strengthening internal controls, governance practices, and readiness for board or partner reporting. 3.7 Reporting to the MD and decision support Escalate immediately to the MD any material client, legal, cash, compliance, security, or reputational risk. Submit a weekly flash report and conduct a structured weekly 1:1 with the MD, highlighting performance, risks, and decisions required. Submit a monthly management pack by the third working day of the month with narrative commentary, trend analysis, and proposed corrective actions.
