Job Summary:
The Teacher Assistant in the Health department will support educational programs focused on public health. This position requires assisting health education staff, organizing health training activities, and contributing to the development of health awareness programs within schools and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning and conducting health education programs.
• Support teachers in preparing educational materials for health topics.
• Help in organizing health outreach activities in schools and communities.
• Maintain records of health-related educational initiatives and track their effectiveness.
Qualifications:
• A certificate or diploma in health education, public health, or a related field.
• Ability to work well with both children and adults in health education settings.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Previous experience in education or health promotion is desirable.

• Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the under listed vacant posts that exist in Sironko District Local Government.
• Applications must be submitted in triplicate on PSC Form 3 (Revised 2008), and on ESC Form 3 (1998) (Revised) for teachers and addressed to, The Secretary, District Service Commission, Sironko District, P.O. Box 34, Sironko to be received not later than 26th February 2025 at 5:00 pm.
• The application forms can be obtained from any District Service Commission offices countrywide, or from Public Service Commission website: www.psc.go.ug and should bear the title and its reference number.
• Applicants must attach certified copies of all academic certificates and transcripts; registration certificates; practicing licenses, a photocopy of the National Identity card, CV, three (3) recent coloured passport photographs, and any other relevant documents.
• Serving officers must route their applications through their responsible officers who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay. Applicants who are not currently in the civil service should be below 50 years of age. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
