Supervisor Shift - Instrumentation job at Kakira Sugar Limited

Background

Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two (2) sugar estates, one in Kakira – Jinja and the other in Kayunga. We seek to recruit dynamic, competent, and experienced candidates to fill the vacant positions in the Company.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of instrumentation technicians during shift operations. Plan and coordinate maintenance, calibration, and repair activities for factory instrumentation. Ensure all instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical) operate within specified tolerances. Troubleshoot complex instrumentation faults and provide technical guidance to the team. Enforce safety protocols and permit-to-work systems for instrumentation tasks. Prepare shift reports, work logs, and maintenance schedules. Manage spare parts inventory for instrumentation and place orders as needed. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize plant downtime.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a degree or a Diploma in any of the above-mentioned qualifications.
