The project seeks to strengthen integrated non-communicable disease and mental health care by connecting community, health-facility and follow-up care pathways in Buikwe and Mayuge districts. Responsibilities - To coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the CONNECT4HEALTH Project and facilitate collaboration among the project team, partners, participating districts and other stakeholders.
- Support the Principal Investigator in coordinating research protocols, project activities, partners and collaborators.
- Coordinate protocol development, research tools, translations, ethics applications and annual renewals.
- Prepare and monitor project workplans, implementation and progress reporting.
- Coordinate field operations, data collection and compliance with research protocols, safeguarding and accountability requirements.
- Maintain project records and contribute to seminars, blogs, policy briefs and scientific publications.
- Participate in project-management meetings and contribute to grantsmanship and resource mobilisation.
- Contribute to teaching and learning programmes in the Department of Health Policy, Planning and Management.
- Undertake other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications and Desirable Qualities - Master of Public Health degree or equivalent.
- At least five yearsâ experience in a health setting, preferably within a district local government.
- Evidence of first authorship of a peer-reviewed journal article.
- Strong scientific writing, project monitoring, data management, analysis, reporting and presentation skills.
- Experience in a research environment or study coordination is desirable.
- Good Clinical Practice or Human Subjects Research certification is an added advantage.
- Commitment to pursue and complete a PhD within four years of recruitment.
