Summary Date Posted: Tuesday, March 18 2025, Base Salary: Not Disclosed Similar Jobs in UgandaLearn more about Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) LimitedUganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited jobs in Uganda JOB DETAILS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1) Support the formulation of strategies for UNOCâs Support Functions by coordinating all activities required for strategy formulation, including baseline data gathering, external research and benchmarking, key stakeholder consultations etc. 2) Develop the required strategy development frameworks and tools and related processes. 3) Act as a focal point for monitoring and evaluation of performance of the agreed KPIs for the Support Functions. 4) Conduct in-depth research on competitor activities and market opportunities to identify growth areas and threats to the company. 5) Coordinate the preparation of departmental periodic progress reports against the agreed departmental or functional strategic plans and initiatives. 6) Support the Heads of Support Functions to streamline their functional plans and align them to the integrated UNOC Business Plan. 7) Co-ordinate periodic reviews within the Support Functions; ensure that functional strategies are delivered according to the agreed specifications, budgets, and timelines. 8) Support the Head of Corporate Strategy in conducting research on the industry and external and internal operating environment issues and emerging trends that may affect UNOCâs strategic direction or its implementation. 9) Co-ordinate the periodic review and refining of strategies for the Support Functions to ensure that all functional initiatives are aligned to the unified UNOC Business Plan and are delivered according to the agreed specifications, budgets, and timelines. Qualifications & Experience 1) A Bachelorâs degree (Hons) in Engineering, Accounting & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or any other related field. 2) Professional Certification in Strategy Management such as Balance Scorecard (BSC), Strategy Management Professional (SMP), Strategic Management Performance System (SMPS), Strategic Planning Professional (SPP) etc, is an added advantage. 3) A minimum of 6 years of work experience in either of Business Development, Strategy development and execution, Performance Management and Monitoring Systems/M&E is an essential requirement 4) Certification in Project Management or Specialised training in Project Planning & Management or M&E is an added advantage 5) Demonstrable experience in the use of strategy models and frameworks is an added advantage. 6) Demonstrable experience in change management and stakeholder engagement. Skills and Competencies a) Demonstrated ability to manage, track and report on Strategy Implementation b) Good business acumen c) Analytical ability and problem-solving skills d) Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment. e) Proficiency in use of statistical analytical tools for tracking, analysing and reporting data. f) Proven ability to conduct research and present data in a succinct and well-written manner g) Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods. h) Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes. i) Strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting. j) Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms Work Hours: 8
