Brief Job Summary: Your mission is to drive all impact projects from start to finish by contributing to the overall strategy, coordinating information through effective reporting and providing support through data analysis. You are to use your business skills, consulting knowledge and operational expertise to drive sustainable growth of the Impact projects and maintain strong relationship and communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Duties & Job Responsibilities - Supports with a strategic direction and vision for the impact project and partnerships team in a way that is unique and provides unity and inspiration within Brightermonday Uganda
- Lead direct reports in a way that encourages and motivates team members to remain optimistic even when faced with challenging task
- Ensure that all implemented activities and initiatives are relevant to the vision and mission of the project teams and Brightermonday Uganda
- Partner with managers by providing analysis tools that will allow functional areas to evaluate and choose between strategic and tactical options, define measurements of success and the related target key performance metrics (KPIs)
- Conduct analyses to forecast and create strategic plans, including implementation plans.
- Support the development and execution of project deliverables,project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
- Ensure internal control mechanisms are in place.
- Employ resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring.
- Ensure to troubleshoot project problems, Identifies and implements creative solutions.
- Ensure and monitor the allocation of resources in the most efficient and cost effective way while aiming for the highest quality of implementation.
Organizational: - Be a strong advocate of change, recognise and support change where necessary
- Participate in networking events related to impact project areas
- Assist with developing proposals for submission to prospective partners
- Utilize essential interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
- Provide support as required to the administration of the management strategy practice
- Maintaining & Developing Stakeholder Relationships
- Identify and form an informed perspective on the implications of medium to long term key trends, competitive threats and opportunities, including how they will influence strategic choices.
- Develop, direct and control the strategic and operational planning frameworks and planning outcomes for the organization in the short, medium and long term.
Reporting: - Provides regular reporting updates to all internal and external stakeholders
- Support in the formulation of project Annual Work Plans, Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR), Project Implementation Reports (PIRs).
Functional: - Support with the provision of strategic direction and oversight to the project team
- Support project managers by co-creating or leading the creation of project deliverables such as summary and strategy documents, presentations and other contents
- Provide project support through research, advisory and project management activities
- Conduct meetings with clients and management to determine project scope and guidelines
- Develop business proposals, SOWs and other reports when required
- Develop short, medium and long-term strategy documents
- Negotiate project terms and conditions with clients as needed
- Identify project risks and challenges and develop resolution plans
- Schedule regular meetings, process invoices and review engagement letters
- Plan and manage multiple projects effectively
- Identify potential partners through networking, referrals and communities and ensure customer satisfaction from same partners
- Track impact projects progress and identify and correct any delays
- Report project progress to partners at regular intervals
- Provide technical and functional supports where necessary
- Track and understand data trends, regional differences, diagnose root causes and develop practical solutions.
- Translate research findings into cohesive strategic solutions for the management.
Networking and Advocacy - Interact, build and nurture effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders within operating countries (E.g. United Nations Agencies,and Civil Society Organizations etc) in order to foster coordination, collaboration and partnership
- Ensure efficient systems in place will intend to qualitatively impact the relationships with beneficiaries of the project
- Serve as a resource person for disseminating knowledge and skills to stakeholders
- Establish adequate referral linkage of project target groups with the appropriate service providers, policy makers and other stakeholders.
Person Specifications: Qualifications: - Bachelors’ degree in the related specialized area. Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage
Years of Experience: - 3 - 5 years strategy experience with extensive experience managing and coordinating large teams
- Minimum of two (2) years experience of relevant experience in a non-profit consulting or industry role with experience managing impact projects
Skills required to perform the Job: - Bachelors’ degree in the related specialized area. Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience in project management and a strong understanding of formal project methodologies- you will have the ability to manage multiple projects at once, balancing short and long term

- Strong analytics and data visualization skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills (MS Powerpoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking
- Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and leadership
- Must be an excellent communicator with good relationship skills
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
- PMP Certification will be an added advantage
- Ability to manage complex projects effectively by setting clear goals, identifying roadblocks, designing solutions, and tracking progress against deadlines/turnaround time.
