Job Summary The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen by washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring food preparation areas remain organized and compliant with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Cleaning & Sanitation - Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean kitchen floors, workstations, and storage areas.
- Dispose of waste according to hygiene procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas at all times.
Kitchen Support - Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
- Support kitchen staff with basic preparation tasks when required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are well maintained.
Compliance - Follow food safety and workplace health regulations.
- Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues promptly.
Minimum Qualifications - Certificate in Hospitality or relevant training is an added advantage.
Experience - Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or cleaning is preferred.
Core Competencies - Cleaning and sanitation.
