Responsibilities: - Support in development of safety policies, minimize risks, outline safety procedures in compliance with the regulations, standards and guidelines.
- Monitor and supervise manufacturing/welding and installation of equipment.
- Responsible for site HSE management and safety inspection/monitoring.
- Implement effective safety recommendations (correction and corrective actions) as per the QHSE MS and regulations.
- Ensure that Contractors comply with pre-operations, operation, emergency response and de-commissioning requirements of HSE MS and the HSE Regulations.
- Responsible for reporting non-non-compliance, incidents/accidents in a timely manner.
- Perform accident and incident investigation/reporting.
- Maintain regular contacts/meetings with Contractors to help them improve their HSE Management System further to recommendations issued from audits.
- Provide training to staff on hazardous materials or processes to prevent accidents.
- Inspect equipment and facilities to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Support in recommending changes to equipment or work methods to improve safety.
- Responsible for compiling weekly and monthly HSE reports.
- Track and report weekly performance and/or closure of nonconformance/noncompliance.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, safety management or the related.
- Diploma in a health and safety-related discipline or an international certification is of added advantage.
- At least 4 years of construction-related working experience, preferably pipeline construction in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Knowledge - Comprehensive Knowledge of health safety & environment management systems.
- Knowledge of international safety standards.
- Computer skills (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
- Understanding of oil E&P.
