JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting and Operations to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, operations, and hands-on experience with Tally ERP. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensure compliance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial performance reports.
Accounting Operations:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Manage and review journal entries, ledger accounts, and trial balances.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing returns, and handling audits.
System Management:
• Utilize Tally ERP for bookkeeping, invoicing, and inventory management.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members on using Tally effectively.
Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve internal controls and operational efficiencies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to support business operations and budgeting.
• Assist management with cash flow forecasting and cost control initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP is mandatory.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance.
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Other Preferences:
• Experience in managing a team or mentoring junior accountants is a plus.
• Background in a trading or distribution business will be an advantage.
