Position: Security Officer
Location: Mondays Hope Medical Centre â Senene, Mpigi
Responsibilities or duties
Monitor and control access to the Medical Centre through check-in procedures and security checks.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activities or security breaches.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms.
Maintain logs of daily activities, incidents, and security-related occurrences.
Enforce hospital policies and safety regulations.
Assist visitors and patients with directions and security-related inquiries.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Ensure all security equipment, such as CCTV and alarm systems, are functioning properly.
Participate in training sessions and drills to stay prepared for emergencies.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Minimum of a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE)
Additional training in security management or related fields is an advantage.
Valid security officer license/certification recognized by relevant authorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong observational and surveillance skills.
Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
Knowledge of security systems and protocols.
Basic computer literacy is a plus.
Experience needed
At least 2 years of security experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar high-traffic environment.
