In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community. We are seeking to recruit Secondary School Teachers (Agriculture) who will be responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to learners. Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to) - Conduct classroom instruction accordance to Watoto education standards and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
- Evaluate teaching and learning by conducting monthly and termly assessments.
- Monitor subject and class academic performance of learners to ensure academic excellence.
- Create and maintain a safe, conducive and interactive learning environment for the learners.
- Recognise and celebrate outstanding learners in different aspects of school life.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and property in the school community ensuring the safe custody and optimum use of equipment assigned.
- Motivate and engage learners in at least one vocational skill, as well as ensure that learners' active participation in skilling activities is consistent.
- Monitor and report the performance of learners in vocational skills.
- Assess and evaluate a real-life project presented by learners.
- Conduct effective leadership sessions with the learners in small groups.
- Lead one-on-one mentorship sessions and guidance by being present and available in the lives of learners.
- Conduct real-life projects to provide real-life learning experiences to learners.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience - The applicant for the role should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
- At least three (3) years of experience in teaching.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of flexibility and initiative.
- Commitment to work within a team environment and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Pedagogical skills, creative and Innovative Skills.
- Knowledge of computer skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
