One of our most significant milestones is the launch of a world-class Ntake Edible Oil Refinery at the Namanve Industrial Business Park, which produces a wide range of essential consumer goods, including fortified vegetable cooking oil (20L, 10L, 5L, 3L, and 1L Jerrycans), Ntake Thupu sachets (1000ml, 500ml, 200ml, 100ml, 50ml, and 25ml packs), and an assortment of soaps and fats such as Ntake Laundry Bar Soap – Lemon Green (1kg & 600g), Zuri Brown (1kg & 600g), Zuri Blue (600g), Grey Soap (1kg), Lemon White (1kg & 600g), margarine, baker’s fat, and industrial plastics. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies across all manufacturing lines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommended corrective actions.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices, including machinery operation, chemical handling, fire safety, and emergency response procedures.
- Deliver safety training programs for all employees.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports for management and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Foster a safety-first culture across all departments, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
Qualifications & Skills: - Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or paper production.
- Knowledge of safety legislation and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies across all manufacturing lines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommended corrective actions.
