JOB TITLE: Roustabout

JOB FUNCTIONS

Be responsible for the basic operation of the drill floor and the whole drilling and repairing machine, the relevant operation of hoisting operation, and the preparation of mud.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol the drill floor, wellhead tools, solid control equipment, site and other areas and equipment according to the patrol route;
• Be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of wellhead tools, valves, pump equipment, pneumatic / hydraulic winch and other equipment, the inspection, maintenance and fixed position management of the slings and riggings used, and make records;
• Be responsible for operating wellhead equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic Tong, iron floormen, swivel Tong and Tong in accordance with the operating procedures;
• Be responsible for the pulling and placement of drilling tools, and make up and break out at the wellhead;
• Be responsible for the safe loading, unloading and hoisting of goods under the arrangement of the rope commander;
• Be responsible for checking whether there is running, emitting, dripping and leakage on the site. If any, deal with it in time and report it;
• Be responsible for serving as firefighters of drilling and repairing machines, using fire extinguishers and fire hydrants to put out fire, and assisting the maintenance team in the maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants and other fire fighting and escape equipment;
• Be responsible for cooperating with mud engineer to allocate mud according to operation requirements during drilling operation and well control operation;
• Be responsible for the sanitation and cleaning of the drilling and repairing machine and the site, and ensure that the materials are clean after work and the site is clean;
• Be responsible for appearance inspection and connection of drilling tools, and assist in drilling tool measurement and recording;
• Be responsible for blocking the intersection and on duty during the pressure test operation, and prohibit personnel from passing through;
• Assist the mechanic, assistant driller and derrickman in equipment repair;
• Before moving the derrick, loosen the substructure pressing plate of the derrick according to the arrangement of the driller and under the leadership of the assistant driller and derrickman, pull out the locking pin, adjust the direction of the reversing block and remove all moving obstacles;
• Be responsible for wellhead operation during casing running to prevent casing threads from being damaged and downhole objects from falling;
• Be responsible for putting in drift diameter gauge, removing protective wire, cleaning screw thread and carrying out appearance inspection when connecting drilling tools;
• Be responsible for derusting, painting and anti-corrosion of drilling and workover module.
• Actively discover hidden dangers and timely correct unsafe behaviors around you;
• Effectively implement the emergency responsibilities of the post in case of emergency;
• Participate in safety production education and training and emergency drill of the team;

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or above is preferred
• Must Have knowledge and skilled operation skills of oil drilling and completion.
