The Law Development Centre (LDC) invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the vacant position below, tenable at Kampala campus.
Responsibilities or duties
1. To draft research proposals.
2. To gather, analyses and interpret data for publication.
3. To collect judgments to assist in Law Reporting.
4. To participate in developing research strategies for LDC.
5. To participate in impact assessment and performance evaluation of LDCâs research findings.
6. To assist in Law Reform activities.
7. To draft papers for various officials to present in workshops and seminars.
8. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
1. Bachelor of Laws - LLB (Hon) degree.
2. Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
3. Must be an enrolled Advocate.
Experience needed
1. At least two (2) yearsâ work experience in legal research.
2. Must have authored or co-authored at least two (2) articles published in peerreviewed journals.
3. Demonstrated experience in legal writing, editing, law reporting and publication.
4. Knowledge of legal research methodologies, research proposal writing, data analysis and report writing.

3. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
