Deadline: 19 April 2025 Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Branch Manager through the Relationship Manager, the Relationship Officer – Agribusiness will recruit and nurture new agribusiness deals, grow existing relationships, and manage the Bank’s business portfolio to enhance profitability while maintaining manageable risk levels. Key Responsibilities: - Recruit and sustain new agribusiness relationships to drive asset and liability growth.
- Manage an active pipeline to meet personal growth targets across product ranges and client segments.
- Optimize client portfolios by promoting suitable product bundles to maximize revenue.
- Negotiate and structure transactions to balance client value and Bank interests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare high-quality credit proposals within set timelines.
- Manage arrears vigilantly to maintain loan portfolio’s non-performing assets (NPA) within agreed parameters.
- Enhance the Bank’s brand through excellent service, innovation, and customer responsiveness.
- Maintain well-documented reports, visits, and contracts with Bank relationships and units.
Person Specifications: - Must be able to ride a motorcycle.
- Willing to work anywhere Pride operates.
- Computer literate, highly motivated, innovative, and a self-starter.
- Excellent presentation, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Honest, trustworthy, with high integrity.
- Not more than 40 years old.

- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Understanding of the banking environment.
• To recruit, nature and sustain new Agribusiness relationships that have a potential to grow and provide superior returns and contribute towards assets and liabilities growth as per set targets. • Active pipeline management with the objective to meet agreed personal growth objectives across all product ranges and clients’ segments. • Superior management of the client portfolio to grow and retain existing business, whilst continuously reviewing existing client wallets with an eye to optimizing the Bank’s revenue through selling/promoting appropriate product bundles. • Actively undertake the negotiation and structuring of transactions in the prospective and closing stages with the aim of attaining value for the client, while protecting the business interests of the Bank • Work hand-in-hand with other stakeholders on the timely and efficient preparation of high-quality credit proposals, and drive turn-around time well within the Bank’s objectives. • Vigilant arrears management in line with the Bank’s policies in order to spot early attention areas – the objective is to maintain the loan portfolio’s NPA percentage (well) within agreed parameters; • Constantly explore the enhancement of the Bank’s brand name so that the Bank holds out to the target markets as one of the best in the corporate field in terms of service, innovation, and customer awareness/responsiveness • Develop and maintain well documented reports/visits/contracts with all the Bank’s relationships, management, and other units • The candidate must be able and willing to ride a motorcycle. • Should be willing to work in any part of the country where Pride operates. • Should be ready to challenge themselves to continuously deliver exceptional performance. • Should be computer literate, highly motivated, innovative and a self-starter. • Should have excellent presentation, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. • Should be honest, trustworthy and have a high degree of integrity. • Should not be more than 40 years of ag Minimum Academic Qualifications; • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture or any related discipline. • 2 Principal passes at A’ Level • Credit and/or Pass in English and Mathematics at O’ level.
