- Academic Registrar on their compliance to University admissions requirements.
- Coordinate/Implement the admission/transfer procedures for all new students in all University programs, in consultation with the University Admissions Board.
- Receiving, reviewing, and evaluating all student candidatesâ academic documents such as application forms, grades, transcripts, slips, certificates, and any other supporting documents submitted for scrutiny by the applicant.
- Assist with the development and implementation of university policies, processes and procedures from student registration to graduation.
- Provide input regarding improvements and enhancements to the university student enrollment management system.
- Serve as liaison between functional and technical resources for upgrades, problem analysis, issue tracking and resolution.
- Guide prospective students on making career choices basing on their performance and aspirations.
- Collaborate with Schools and others to research, resolve and recommend action for problems and questions that arise concerning graduation, registration, and records.
- Support the Academic Registrar in organizing University ceremonies.
- Support the Academic Registrar in organizing meetings and providing secretariat services to
- academic related Boards/ Committees instituted by Senate.
- Manage and assess the performance of staff in the admission office
- Ensure the proper running of the admissions office
Competencies and Attributes - Have a demonstrable excellent track record of high ethical standards and professionalism.
- A mature result oriented person/self-driven who subscribes to the Universityâs Core values and Philosophy.
- Not more than 55 years of age at the time of application.
- Should have good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Should have a high level of integrity. Must be computer literate
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies - A Masterâs degree from recognized institution of higher learning either in Education â Administration, Planning and/or Management or related fields.
- A Bachelorâs Degree from recognized institution of higher learning either in Education (Hons) or any other fields.
