His/her duties include; measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, conducting quality checks and identifying defects. The Quality Inspector works closely with the production and installation team to maintain high-quality workmanship and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: ⢠Inspecting raw materials received from suppliers. ⢠Daily inspection of in process activities/products during production processes. ⢠Daily inspection of finished products to ensure they meet company, customer and regulatory requirements. ⢠Identifying non-conforming (materials, in process materials and products), obtain root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are put in place. ⢠Guide/advise the production and installation team on following quality standards in their operations. ⢠Compile daily quality control records for all the inspections conducted. ⢠Ensure equipments used in production and installation centres are frequently verified and calibrated as required. ⢠Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed by installation teams, this is when assigned to an installation centre. ⢠Performing regular inspections of the warehouse to monitor compliance to the quality standards. â Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standard. â Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes for continuous improvement. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 1. Quality Compliance â Percentage of finished products and product installations meeting or exceeding quality standards, relevant codes, regulations and project specifications. â Reduction in defects and rework. 2. Inspection and Reporting â Timeliness and accuracy of inspection reports. â Number of issues identified and resolved. Qualifications: â A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, IT, quality or relevant technical discipline) is preferred. Relevant certifications and training may be considered in lieu of a degree. â 1-2 years proven experience in quality control roles. â Familiarity with production and installation standards, processes, materials, and regulations. â Strong knowledge of industry-specific quality control standards, safety regulations and best practices. â Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. â Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with various stakeholders. â Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues effectively. â Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. â The ability to work effectively within a team. â Proficiency in using quality control software and Microsoft Office Application Work Hours: 8
