In Uganda, we are currently seeking to recruit an Quality Controller based at our Kampala Plant. As a Quality Controller, you will report directly to the Team Leader- Packaging Key Purpose Statement The primary role of the Quality Controller is to ensure product and process compliance with quality standards through accurate testing, monitoring, and corrective actions to maintain integrity, food safety, and operational excellence. Key Outputs and Accountabilities - Incoming inspection of all raw and packaging materials
- Ensure calibration of laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Preparation and standardization of laboratory reagents.
- Reporting equipment status to the QAI
- Carrying out validation tests on both product and package as assigned from time to time.
- Communicate non-conformances to the Line Team Leader, QADC, QAI, and SHED manager; ensure isolation of non-conforming materials
- Comply with requirements of the QMS, policies, SZPâs and work instructions
- Comply with safe working procedures / signage and standards.
- Apply QLP and GMP requirements in lab and production environments.
- Participate in food safety management system implementation.
- Report on food safety, defense, and fraud issues to SHED manager.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Qualifications - Backtrack 2 degree in food science and technology, Industrial Chemistry, Bioethnology, or Analytical Chemistry, Science technology Biology Chemistry.
Competencies - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of GMP and QLP standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Expedience Minimum Requirements: 2 âYearsâ quality control experience in an FMCG environment, especially in plastic manufacturing, process monitoring, water treatment, wastewater management. - Incoming inspection of all raw and packaging materials
