On behalf of our client China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd (CPP), we are looking for competent, skilled, and experienced HSE Supervisor to work at site. Location : Site Positions : 2 Activities The position holder shall have the following responsibilities: - Provide strong safety leadership by promoting a safety-first culture, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring that safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Monitor and enforce environmental regulations related to pipeline operations.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, reporting, and follow-up to prevent reoccurrence, implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments for pipeline projects and operations, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors involved in pipeline activities.
- Stay up to date with local, state, and federal HSE regulations and ensure that the company remains in compliance with all applicable laws.
- Develop and oversee emergency response plans and drills, ensuring that all personnel are trained and prepared for emergencies.
Requirements Mandatory Experiences required Education: At least a bachelor’s degree plus a NEBOSH certification. Experience: - 5 years working experience in construction, offshore, fabrication and ideally oil and gas construction.
- Member of recognized industry body (IOSH, IEMA, IRCA etc.)
- Experience in HSE-related Uganda, municipality regulations and industry best practices.
- Strategic thinking and leadership and planning skills.
- Strong business orientation and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact at client and senior management level and represent the company externally with government and other 3rd parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
