Key Responsibilities - Maintain accurate records of all cash and bank transactions using QuickBooks and ensure correct allocation to donor codes
- Conduct monthly budget-versus-actual (BVA) analysis alongside the Project Team Leader to detect and address variances early
- Review all financial claims, invoices, purchase orders, and per-diem sheets to verify full supporting documentation before making payouts
- Manage Kiryandongo field office bank accounts and petty cash boxes and submit timely cash forecast requests to headquarters
- Enforce compliance with YSAT policies, War Child Alliance donor regulations, and Ugandan tax statutory requirements (WHT and PAYE)
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Accounting), Business Administration, or Finance; CPA or ACCA Level II progress is highly desirable
- Minimum 3â4 years of accounting and finance experience inside an NGO framework, specifically handling multi-partner consortium budgets
- Excellent proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Uncompromising personal integrity and a sharp eye for financial detail
- Experience working with refugee-led organisations and consortium partners is an advantage
