The volunteer will assist in project implementation, work plan development, field follow-ups, learning and documentation and reporting. Duties and Responsibilities Volunteer Under the supervision of the Leadership and Development Lead, the Volunteer will be responsible for the following: - Support Project Implementation: Assist program staff and the MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning) Manager in the planning and execution of project activities across programme Districts.
- Work Plan Development: Collaborate with the program team to develop detailed activity work plans and ensure the timely and effective implementation of project activities, in line with the WSR standards and guidelines.
- Project Review Participation: Actively participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and other scheduled project performance review meetings to monitor progress and address challenges.
- Learning and Documentation: Contribute to organizational learning by documenting success stories, lessons learned, and writing blogs or articles to share project insights and experiences.
- Report Preparation: Support the development of a comprehensive project narrative reports.
- Proposal Development and Fundraising: Support the development of funding proposals and contribute to fundraising initiatives to enhance program sustainability.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties as assigned by the National Coordinator or project team.
Core Competences Availability to volunteer part-time/full-time for the agreed duration. - Commitment to WSR Ugandaâs mission and values, especially regarding peace, womenâs rights, and democratic governance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to take initiative.
Qualifications - Diploma or degree in Development Studies or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
- Prior experience working in NGO or CSOs focusing on governance, human rights, peace and security
