Social Media Visibility Consultant (with Administrative Support)
Organisation: Global APRI Services (U) Limited (in partnership with ACT-SS)
Project: SULIPROM-SS â Addressing Migration and Mobility Challenges through Sustainable
Livelihoods and Protection of Migrants in South Sudan
Duty station: Uganda (Kampala-based, with occasional field coordination/travel as required)
Contract type: Short-term consultancy

Technical focus
Lead the projectâs digital visibility strategy that highlight the activities, achievements, and community impact and engagement across social platforms while providing light administrative support to ensure smooth coordination across the SULIPROM-SS project, documentation, and compliance with project communication standards.
Key responsibilities
A) Social Media & Visibility
⢠Develop and execute a project-specific social media plan (LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Instagram).
⢠Create and publish at least 3 posts per week: project updates, success stories, safe migration/anti-trafficking awareness, impact visuals.
⢠Design and produce short videos/reels, graphics, photo stories, and run interactive digital campaigns (polls, Q&As, lives).
⢠Track, analyse, and report monthly on reach, engagement, and trends; recommend improvements.
⢠Provide basic IT support services to the project team.
⢠Monitor feedback and maintain a positive brand presence.
B) Administrative Support
⢠Assist with procurement requests related to branding/communications etc.
⢠Coordinate meetings, schedules, and basic logistics.
⢠Liaise with field teams to collect photos, quotes, and testimonials.
⢠Support routine office tasks (scanning, filing, photocopying) and light bookkeeping (invoices, reimbursements, petty cash handling).
⢠Draft letters, memos, reports; maintain organized databases/spreadsheets.
Deliverables
⢠Approved social media content
⢠Minimum 3 social media posts per week across platforms.
⢠Monthly visibility performance reports (metrics, insights, recommendations).
⢠Live digital engagements during key project moments.
⢠Reels/short videos and visual documentation of events and activities.
⢠Press releases for milestone events.
⢠Documented events through photos and short videos for use in reports and social media ⢠Final end-of-assignment social media impact summary.
Minimum requirements
⢠Diploma/Bachelorâs degree in Communications, IT, Marketing, Multimedia, PR, or related field.
⢠At least 3 yearsâ hands-on experience in social media/content creation and digital community management.
⢠Strong visual storytelling, graphic/video editing, and copywriting skills.
⢠Proficiency with major social platforms and basic analytics/reporting.
⢠Excellent written and spoken English.
Reporting line
Reports to the Project Manager (APRI) and works closely with project communications and field teams to ensure alignment with the projectâs communications and visibility strategy.
