Background

Elysian Strategic Solutions is a registered Human Resource Consultancy and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm. On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a highly organized, self-driven, and experienced Production Manager (Furniture Department) to oversee furniture manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the entire production process while ensuring compliance with quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production targets, workplace health and safety requirements, and efficient utilization of production resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily furniture production operations.
• Ensure all furniture products meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
• Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Lead, supervise, coach, and evaluate production staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion and delivery of customer orders.
• Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and accountability of workshop machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Optimize material utilization, minimize production waste, and improve operational efficiency.
• Enforce occupational health and safety standards within the production environment.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and performance updates.
• Coordinate with procurement, stores, and management to ensure uninterrupted production activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in furniture manufacturing or production management with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of furniture production processes, quality control systems, and production planning.
• Proficiency in production reporting and workshop operations.
